VMS Live are proud to present ‘Innercitylive’

a multi city ‘Urban Multi Day’ event series. For 2017 we start with the 2017 City of Culture Hull and Britains 2nd City Birmingham. Designed to reflect both the individuality of each City as well as the diverse mix of live music that are out there. We have taken great care and pleasure in curating each event to bring together some of the best but not necessarily the most obvious of artists to perform on one bill.

In Birmingham we have chosen to stage our events in the unique settings of the ‘Rainbow Arena’ in the heart of Digbeth. More events will be announced in the coming weeks but we are delighted to announce the first event on the weekend of the 11th August. Off the back of their recent sell out tour, we are overjoyed to be able to bring ‘FLAMING LIPS’ to Birmingham, playing alongside ‘PUBLIC SERVICE BROADCASTING’ and a full supporting cast (TBA).

Hull sees us utilise ‘Zebedees Yard’ the former Courtyard of the Trinity Maritime School dating back to the mid 1530’s. As part of the City of Culture 2017 celebrations we see 3 events on the weekend of the 23rd June. First up sees a quintessentially ‘British Bill’ with Glasgow’s finest Primal Scream playing alongside the inimitable Echo & the Bunnymen (with full supporting bill TBA). The weekend is bookended with a ‘Family Day Out’ with 2 shows in a day from those fine people at ‘Horrible Histories’ bring you the ‘Best of Barmy Britain’. The Saturday night of the weekend we mirror our Birmingham event and bring FLAMING LIPS and PUBLIC SERVICE BROADCASTING, again with a full supporting cast (TBC).
